About the Thrasher font
Thrasher is a skateboarding magazine founded in 1981 by Kevin Thatcher, Eric Swenson and Fausto Vitello. The founders also ran Independent Truck Company. The magazine is known for raw, edgy coverage of skate culture, and it names a Skater of the Year every year. Its logo has become a street fashion symbol, so many people who never skate wear it.
The logo is the word Thrasher in heavy, leaning capitals with flames rising from the letters. Wikipedia and several font sites confirm that the lettering is Banco. Excoffon drew it for the Fonderie Olive foundry in France. It has thick strokes, sharp edges and a slight forward lean, which gives it speed. The flames are artwork added by the magazine and are not part of the font.
