About the Brat font

The cover is a single lowercase word, set in the middle of a plain green square. The type is the whole design, so the look is easy to copy with any plain sans serif. The artwork was made by the New York studio Special Offer, Inc., and its art director, Brent David Freaney, has described the process behind the green (DJ Mag).

How to make Brat-style text

Use lowercase, centred, with no outline or shadow. A short word reads best. For print, use a vector export, because a stretched screenshot looks wrong at poster size.
