Grundschrift, also known as basis font or ground script, is a reduced form of handwriting that is officially endorsed by the German National Primary Schoolteachers’ Union. If implemented nationally, it would replace the three separate German cursives now taught in schools: Lateinische Ausgangsschrift (established in 1953), Schulausgangsschrift (1968), and Vereinfachte Ausgangsschrift (1969), resulting in a standardized handwriting system in German schools.
In contrast to cursive script, where letters are connected together in a flowing motion, Grundschrift characters are written separately as block letters. Christian Urff created and shared the Font. Grundschrift completely supports basic Latin and Euro languages. TTF and OFT files are available for the lovely Script and Handwritten font. The Font is compatible with Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Cricut, Silhouette, and other cutting machines. Basque, Catalan, Cornish, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Embu, English, Esperanto, Estonian, Faroese, Filipino, Finnish, French, Galician, German, Hungarian, and others are among the languages supported by the Font.

Grundschrift is perfect for branding, logo design, stationery, business cards, signage, flyers, and brochures, among other things.
