Horizon Font Free Download

Horizon is a bold, strong sans serif font with a powerful feel. It suits headlines, logos and posters where the letters need to hit hard. It is free to download for personal use, and it is also sold for other uses.

About the Horizon font

Horizon is built for strong display text. It covers basic Latin letters, numbers and symbols, along with the Latin-1 supplement and Latin Extended-A characters. That is enough for most English text and many European languages.

Designers use it for branding, websites, flyers, posters and magazine layouts. It also works over photos when the letters are large. The family comes in several weights, including light, regular, medium and bold.

Large sizes show the bold shapes best. Test the font at the size you plan to print or post before you choose it, since a heavy face can fill up small areas quickly. For a poster, a single bold word often works better than a long line.

Horizon Font Generator

Type a word and compare the Horizon styles side by side. Try each style at the size you plan to use, because bold display fonts can look very different when they are small.

The generator includes regular, outlined and italic files. Compare them with a short word first, then with a full headline, to see which style fits your layout.

How to use Horizon font

On Windows, right-click the font file and choose Install. On a Mac, double-click the file and select Install Font in Font Book. Restart your design app if the font does not show up in its menu.

In Canva, check the font menu first. If the font is missing and your plan allows uploads, upload the file. If not, type the text in your design program, export it as a PNG and place that image in Canva.

Horizon is a good choice for short, bold lines such as event titles, product labels and banners. For paragraphs of body text, pick a lighter sans serif for easier reading.

Before you use Horizon for a client, a shop or a sold product, read the license for the version you plan to use. A personal download does not cover every kind of project.
