The Kirby logo is usually matched to Kirby Classic, a rounded font based on the logo of Kirby’s Dream Land. Helvetica Rounded Black is the other common match. The generator below lets you compare both with three more fonts from the series.
About the Kirby font
Kirby first appeared in Kirby’s Dream Land on the Game Boy in 1992. The pink character inhales enemies and copies their powers. Nintendo publishes the series, and the logo changes color and effects from game to game.
The word “Kirby” in the logo uses round, bubbly letters. Those shapes are why many fans look for a font with the same soft, cheerful feel. The pink color is optional. The letter shapes do most of the work.
The fonts on this page are close matches, not the exact logo lettering. Nintendo owns the Kirby name and logo, and each font file has its own license. Check that license before you use a font in paid or commercial work.
Kirby Classic Font
Kirby Classic was made by Jackster3000, who designed it as a fan of the series. It takes its shapes from the logo of Kirby’s Dream Land, the first game in the series.

Compare the curves in the image above with the logo. If you plan to use Kirby Classic for a title, test the spacing at the size you will print or post.
The Helvetica Rounded Black Font
Helvetica Rounded Black is a rounded version of Helvetica, one of the most widely used sans-serif fonts in the world. Its thick strokes and soft corners give it a friendly look that many people link with the Kirby logo.
Helvetica is a commercial typeface family. Check the license for the rounded version before you use it on products, merchandise or client work.

How to use Kirby font
On Windows, download the font file, right-click it and choose Install. On a Mac, double-click the file and select Install Font in Font Book. Restart your design app if the font does not appear in its list.
Kirby Classic and Helvetica Rounded Black both suit short titles, posters, banners and fan art. Keep long text in a plainer font, since rounded display fonts are hard to read in long paragraphs.
In Canva, search the font list for the font name first. If it is missing and your plan allows uploads, upload the font file. If not, type the text in a desktop app, save it as a PNG and place that image in Canva.
Check the license before you use any Kirby font on merchandise, in a logo or in paid work.
