Palatino font is a very popular serif font designed by Hermann Zapf in 1949 and published by Stempel. Palatino was named after Giambattista Palatino, a 16th-century Italian master of calligraphy, and was designed to reflect the humanist typefaces of the Italian Renaissance, with a calligraphic grace. The typeface was originally intended for use in headings, but it quickly became popular for body text as well. It remains one of the most widely used serif typefaces today and is known for its legibility and readability
