About the Demon Slayer font

Demon Slayer is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge. It ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2016 to 2020, and it has since become an anime series, a feature film and several video games.

The story follows Tanjiro Kamado after demons kill his family. His sister Nezuko is turned into a demon, so Tanjiro sets out to find a cure for her while he hunts the demons. The movie, Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train, is one of the best-known entries in the franchise.

The logo has two parts. The Japanese title, Kimetsu no Yaiba, is written in stylized characters with a red, flame-like effect. The English words are set in a heavy, condensed sans-serif. The flame effect is harder to copy than the letter shapes.

The Japanese lettering is not sold as a font. Check the license of each font on this page before you use it on merchandise, in a logo or in paid work.

How to use Demon Slayer font

On Windows, download the font file, right-click it and choose Install. On a Mac, double-click the file and select Install Font in Font Book. Restart your design app if the font does not appear in its list.

Blood Crow and Opti Ignite both suit short titles, thumbnails and posters. Keep long text in a plainer font, because heavy condensed letters are hard to read in paragraphs.

In Canva, search the font list for the font name first. If it is missing and your plan allows uploads, upload the font file. If not, type the text in a desktop app, save it as a PNG and place that image in Canva.

Check the license before you use any of these fonts on merchandise, in a logo or in paid work. The Demon Slayer logo belongs to its creators, so do not present it as your own brand mark.
