Nintendo has never named a font for its red logo, and the lettering is treated as custom artwork. That means you cannot download the real thing. The closest free match is Pretendo, and RO Spritendo and Nintender come close too.
About the Nintendo font
Nintendo started in 1889 as a Japanese playing card company and moved into video games in the 1970s. Its wordmark is bold, rounded and always set in red, often inside an oval. Because the letters were drawn for the brand, they follow no standard typeface. Designers on font-identification forums usually describe the logo as hand-lettered, which is why you only find look-alikes.
Other Nintendo products use different type. A Fonts In Use entry for the Nintendo GameCube lists Bank Gothic, Handel Gothic and Futura Condensed, and the Game Boy logo is credited there to designer Tim Girvin. So there is no single “Nintendo font” across the company, only the logo style and the type for each product.
Nintendo font options
We compared three downloads with the logo. Pretendo is the closest. The other two are fan projects that copy the same rounded shapes.
Pretendo

Pretendo is a rounded sans-serif display font by Erwin Denissen, released through High-Logic. It is the match most people pick for logos, posters and stickers. Check the license on the download before using it in paid work.
RO Spritendo
RO Spritendo is a geometric sans that also resembles the logo. Some people claim Nintendo built its logo from this font. We found no source to back that up, so treat it as a look-alike only. It first appeared on DeviantArt.
Nintender
Nintender is a fan-made replica that follows the Nintendo letter shapes. Its file name ends in WIP, so it may be unfinished. Test every letter you need before you commit to it.
Nintendo Direct and Nintendo 3DS fonts
Nintendo Direct
Nintendo Direct is the company’s video presentation series, which began in 2011. Its logo looks like Gilroy Extra Bold, and a copy is in the generator below. Gilroy is a commercial font by Radomir Tinkov, so buy a license for client or business work.
Nintendo 3DS
The 3DS logo mixes two typefaces: Bank Gothic for “Nintendo” and Lucida Sans Demi for “3DS”. Both are paid fonts, so use the buttons under the generator if you want to license them.
