Splatoon Font Download

The Splatoon logo uses custom lettering that Nintendo made for the game. The Splatoon 1 and Splatoon 2 files on this page are the typefaces to try first. The four fonts further down offer close looks for titles and fan art.

About the Splatoon font

Nintendo created the Splatoon typeface for its game logo, and Nintendo owns it. The lettering is bold and playful, which is why many fans want to copy it for their own posts and edits.

Because the typeface belongs to Nintendo, check the license and Nintendo’s rules before you use it in paid or commercial work.

Splatoon Font 1

Splatoon 1 is the first of the two Splatoon files on this page. Look at the character map first, then test it in the generator below.

What is Splatoon?

Splatoon is a shooter from Nintendo. Teams cover the ground with ink, and players control characters called Inklings. Inklings switch between humanoid and squid forms. In squid form, they swim through ink in their team’s color.

Nintendo released the first game for the Wii U in May 2015. Splatoon 2 came out for the Nintendo Switch in 2017, and Splatoon 3 followed in 2022. The games are set in a future world where humans have disappeared, and players learn much of the background from in-game news and clues.

How to use Splatoon font

On Windows, download the font file, right-click it and choose Install. On a Mac, double-click the file and select Install Font in Font Book. Restart your design app if the font does not appear in its list.

The Splatoon files work best for short titles, thumbnails, fan art and event posters. Keep long text in a plainer font, since bold display letters are hard to read in long lines.

In Canva, search the font list for Splatoon first. If it is missing and your plan allows uploads, upload the font file. If not, type the text in a desktop app, save it as a PNG and place that image in Canva.

If you plan to use a Splatoon font on merchandise or in any paid project, check the license first. Nintendo owns the official lettering.
