The Apple Chancery font is a script-type calligraphy font made by Apple. It comes along with Apple’s Mac operating systems, like Mac OS X Panther (10.3). The design of the font features a bunch of interesting letters that are unconnected to one another.

This font style is based on old English handwriting called Chancery Script. This typeface was created from the inspiration of ancient English calligraphy and lettering that were found in old manuscripts.

The font was designed by Kris Holmes and developed and released by Bigelow & Holmes, Inc. in 1993. The last time it was updated was on January 31, 2020. This font belongs to the Apple font family, and the Apple company owns the copyright to this font. The font has a single style, with 169 characters, 1058 glyphs, 2048 per EM. 

In addition, it has 100 different weights, including regular, bold, and italic, in Version 1.0.

This font is popular in general, but the bold and italic functions have a different fan base. In the font, the letters have a very noticeable look because of the swish they have. It gives superior elegance and class to the letters, especially capital letters.

Canciller, Mistral, and Lorenzo Swash fonts are similar to Apple Chancery Font.
