Eczar Font is a sans serif font designed by Vaibhav Singh, created by David Brezina, and released on October 23, 2018, by Rosetta Type Foundry.
Eczar Font began in 2010 as a student project during Vaibhav’s MA Typeface Design and Style studies at the University of Reading (UK). Eczar was created to breathe new life into multi-script typesetting in Latin and Devanagari. The goal of creating the Font was also to provide an alternative to existing styles by conferring an effective combination of character and performance at both text and display sizes. The design and style display qualities become more pronounced in heavier weights, with the heaviest being best suited for the title of the article and show purposes.
