This font was named the best primary typeface by Erik Spiekermann. The Font was named In the honor of Swiss inventor, Adrian Frutiger, in 1968. It is a san serif typeface. It was initially created for the Charles De Gaulle Airport sign systems in Paris. In 1976, the typeface was expanded and completed the family for D. Stempel AG.
The typeface has clear visibility and can be recognized from a certain distance; it was used as airport signage. It is also famous for its Arabic and Roman alphabets. It includes 19 styles and 9 weights, including regular, italic, bold, black, light, etc.
The best thing about this font is its extensive language support, like English, French, Latin, Finnish, German, Swedish, etc. The characters include signs, numbers, symbols, and alphabets. The Frutiger font is available in Microsoft Word. It is pretty similar to the Tahoma font.
