The Ruslan font was designed by Denis Masharov in collaboration with Vladimir Rabdu. The font is based on an ancient Russian script of the 16th century called “poluustav”. It is suitable for lettering and short texts.

The font characters include uppercase and lowercase alphabets, numbers, symbols, and special characters. It has a total of 450 defined characters and 236 unique glyphs. The weight of the font is 400. It supports more than 32 languages.

The font contains Unicode characters ranging from Currency Symbols (1), Mathematical Operators (1), Letterlike Symbols (2), Latin Extended-B (5), Spacing Modifier Letters (8), Basic Latin (93), Cyrillic (94), Latin-1 Supplement (95), Latin Extended Additional (22), General Punctuation (16), Latin Extended-A (110).

Both OTF and TTF formats are available for download.

The Ruslan font supports codepages. Those are:
MS Windows 1250 Central European
MS Windows 1251 Cyrillic
MS Windows 1252 Western (ANSI)
MS Windows 1254 Turkish
MS Windows 1257 Baltic.
